Quick summary:
- 3 weeks ago I ordered a Corsair Select Value Dual Channel Kit (512x2) from NewEgg. One stick worked, the other didn't. I had to send both back.
- 2 weeks ago my RMA came back, however the packaging was not sealed and both sticks of memory were flying around in the box. I RMA'd these back.
- Yesterday I got my 2nd RMA back... both sticks aren't working again. I have a spare 128MB PC2100 stick that works in all 4 DIMM slots.
Is there anything else I could be doing wrong besides poorly seated RAM or again a bad stick not allowing these Corsair sticks to work? The Corsair stick worked fine for 4 days before I RMA'd back the first kit after the Holidays.
I'm thinking about just going to Best Buy or Circuit City or something and buying some Kingston memory for my dads computer. This is getting very frustrating.
