having trouble with D-LINK DI-704 and windowsXP

i am having trouble with my internet connection with the router\firewall hooked up. everything works fine till it tries to renew the IP address automaticly every 3 days that is set by my ISP. i have renew automaticly set in options for the router but it still crashes my internet connection every time it tries to renew. i have to shut the computer off, unplug the cable modem and router. then once i turn everything back on it is fine. anybody have any clues as to why this is happening? thanx
 
You might try a post at the general hardware forum. Also, try a search on the D-Link DI704. Good luck🙂
