Having Trouble with certain links.

When using either mozilla firefox (latest version), and or Internet Explorer I get connection refused errors.

I visit slick deals, and bens bargains, and anandtechs realtime pricing thing. and when I click on certain advertised specials, I get an error, some of the sites the links link to, are dumping goods, and a few others.

The error message is a windows popup box, that says
Alert
The connection was refused when attempting to contact click.linksynergy.com

the page opens to blank.

I am running spybot (which I run at work, and do not have this problem, and I am running sygate personal firewall, and I was running adaware (uninstalled that). Exiting the firewall I still get the same alert...

Does anyone have any idea? Oh yeah I am running xp pro.

From what I can gather so far:

I tried to follow what I thought you meant about what sites you were going to as far as anandtech realtime pricing and Ben's Bargain's. The only correlation that I noticed was that I hit .aspx pages at each place. Maybe start there?
