Having trouble with ASPI drivers and DVD drive

I have an old Toshiba CD-R/RW+DVD drive in my current system which I just recently upgraded to 2000. I've gotten the burning part of my drive working but I can't get it to play DVDs, which was frustrating when I got my Family Guy DVD last week. Anyway, when I start up PowerDVD it says something like "wnaspi32.dll error, PowerDVD only supports 32-bit drivers" or something along those lines. I really have no idea where to start to fix it. Any hints? I can't reinstall PowerDVD since I can't find the disc, though I did install the demo version and got the same error. Can anybody recommend some free software? (Besides DeCSS... though I do need a new copy of that I think)

hmm, win2k doesn't have an aspi layer so suggest you get forceAspi from here.
unzip the file & read the instructions. you'll get aspi version 4.60 which seems to work with all software unlike the later versions.
post back with an update!
btw what version of powerdvd are you using?
