Having trouble with AIW 9700 and getting it to play sound through the tv program

so i cant get the sound to play at all, although the picture is perfectly fine...i have an audigy platinum and i just cant figure out how to get it to work...i cant select regular line in as one of the choices when i configure the sound, and the "what you hear" option gives me an error...anyone have any ideas?

Do you have an audio cable from the vid card to the sound card?

yeah, i figured it out...the cable from the vid card ended up being loose
