Ok I have gotten myself into quite the predicament. I had a set of racing axles for sale on ebay and the auction eneded on July 16th and I did not hear from the winner until last night at 10pm. He paypaled me last night and left his phone number.
HOWEVER, yesteday at 1pm I used the "Second Chance Buyer" option because I had not heard from him in 5 days. One of the losing bidders used the Second Chance feature at the same time as the original winner paid. So now I have over $800 in my paypal account when I got home. I immediately refund the Second Chance bidder's money and deposited the original buyers money into my checking account.
This morning I get an angry email from the Second Chance buyer saying, this is a legal binding contract and he will have my account suspended. Now, yes I acknowledge I F-ed up bad here, but I would of thought this guy would let it go and see the misunderstanding. I talked to the original winning bidder and he explained himself and his argument was that in my payment details I never listed a time frame for the money to be sent not to mention claimed he emailed me earlier and I never got them.
I gave the Second Chance bidder my cell phone number and hope we can talk this out because I do not want this bad feeback or lose my account. Was I right?
UPDATE: Second Chance buyer called me and I set him up with a company that sold the same axles for the same price as I was. Phewwwwww
