Ok, here's the situation...
I have:
enlight 7237 300w.
20GB maxtor 5400 HDD.
HP 9350 CDRW.
Floppy, 17" monitor, keyboard, etc from current machine.
I've been putting off getting the main parts of the system because it's too hard to decide what to get. I ordered a retail duron 750 today ($67 shipped from cnetpc), so that's out of the way. Mobo will be either an MSI K7T Turbo with raid or an Epox 8kta3 for 117 or 114 from newegg.
I'm looking for stability, performance, and future upgrade ability on a budget. Good, fast, cheap, can I pick all three?? I probably won't overclock at first, but will down the road.
Then the video. Msi Geforce2 mx or the Radeon LE? I want the best performance for the buck, without having to screw around with it too much. Seems a lot of people like the Radeon LE, and most of the budget system guides recommend the Gf2 MX. Arrrgh... what to do... Also, is there any advantage to getting the mobo and video card from the same mfr (MSI)?
I'll also order Crucial 256M 133 cas2 memory and MS 98se. I'm ordering in the next day or so, so any last minute advice would be great. Please help me out on the mobo and video...
