having trouble overclocking my video card.

i tried to overclock my video and it didn't gain any performance increase.
I have a geforce 2 mx pci.
Why don't i get an increase?

HappyGamer2 is correct. On my oc'ed 883MHz Celeron and my Voodoo5-5500 AGP overclocked I see no performance increase as I am also CPU limited.

I assume you overclocked the video card memory too right? Memory is the bottleneck for Geforce2 MX's. What CPU do you have?

Someone said it was the pci bus i only get about 3-4 additional 3dmarks. He said i didn't have enought bandwidth.

Also how good is geforce 2 mx at playing dvd movies because i was going to buy a dvd player.
the cpu i have is a 550 mhz k63+ i would like to run it at 600 mhz but it gets to hot.

The software dvd players have absolutely nothing to do with the video card, it will work the same with a gf2mx or a cheapo 4 meg trident card. You are wayyyyyyy cpu limited, thats your problem.

As mentioned above, your processor is the bottleneck - you could mate a GeForce2 GTS with the K6-3 and the performance increase would be negligable.
