Having trouble getting on board ethernet working

Just built my first system last night, yay! And managed to somehow get Windows 2000 installed (plan on upgrading to XP soon, but I wanted to get it rolling now). So I went ahead and got all of the newest drivers for all of the devices through an external HD, including the chipset and the onboard ethernet.

Right now it acts like its not connected to the network at all, even though its cable is in the router here. The main computer on my network can "see" it, but can't access anything on it. I feel like I might be missing something simple here, have already fiddled around with the TCP/IP settings a lot. Is there some other thing I need to do to enable the LAN? It says that the Realtek ethernet device is working correctly....

Thanks,

Well I "fixed" this one myself. I just reformatted and set up the networking/internet right away before I did anything else. Before I had set up a software firewall and anti-virus which I guess may have messed with some registry things like Winsock. Either way its working now :)
