Having trouble getting data off a multi-session DVD

I've got a DVD from out of my folks' new(ish) set-top DVD recorder, on which is recorded a show I asked them to record for me. Unfortunately, Windows can't seem to read the disc properly. I know the show is there (it loads in the aforementioned DVD recorder just fine) but when I go to the DVD drive in explorer the file listing is empty. I pulled up the disc info in Nero just to see what was going on and it shows three sessions, one with about a gig of data. (I assume that's my show) Unfortunately I can't seem to find any way to get the information in that session off the disc. Does anybody know of some software that can copy a specific disc session to hard disk?

No, not that I'm aware of. Theoretically it just uses straight MPEG-2. At the very least it claims it records (or can be set to record) in a mode that makes it readable in other, normal DVD players.
