I just upgraded form Photoshop 6 to 7 and am having trouble finding a couple tools. When I select my brush, how do I adjust its shape so it looks more like an oval and how do I adjust the hardness of the brush? Secondly, how do I switch the brush mode from 'normal' to 'screen'?

Select, say, the paintbrush. Now go to the top right part of the screen, and there are two tabs. One says Fle Browser, one says "Brushes". Click "brushes", then at the upper-left part of that pop up window is a tab that says "Brush Tip Shape". Play with that.

Oh, and as for "normal" to "screen"...There is the "Mode" pull-down menu in between the "Brush" and "opacity" area that you can click and the "screen" option is in the 3rd "break" of the menu, second from the top.

Hit F1 and look for Bruch Pallette info. Also, if you ACTUALLY BOUGHT PS7, you should've gotten a 2nd CD with some video tutorials showing off the new features, including the brush pallettes. You DID buy the retail version, right?
