So this started about a week ago. I turn the computer off every night, and in the mornings when I go to turn it on, the first couple of tries, all the fans come on, but it doesn't post at all. So I have to turn it off and try again. Normally it takes 2 maybe 3 tries, this morning it took about 7 or 8. What could be causing this?

I think one of my CD drives is going dead, would this cause this in any way? It is weird because I can remember a few times when it does this, I open the CD tray(which is empty) and it boots at that time. But it doesn't work every time, and I am opening the good CD drive.

save energy mostly. I usually have it off all night and during the day till I get home from work.

If you think it's the cd drive, disconnect it and give it a try.

What kind of PSU do you have?

With your rig OCed, it is more susceptible to degradation from frequent cold starts.

Ditto, I run ALL computers 24/7, they last longer. Just leave it on and turn off your monitor. The computer doesn't use much energy, but a monitor does. My wife's OC'd 2500+ Barton uses about 185W with her LCD on.....as reported by the UPS monitoring tool.
