Having second Thoughts on Motherboard choice

I'm at the point where I need to decide on a motherboard and buy it. I've decided on the E8400 CPU, and I'll be getting at least 8GB of memory (whatever clocks well on the board I choose). I'll likely get the 4870 card but I won't go Xfire anytime soon.

My goal is a fast Vista64 system that will clock well.

I'll use it mostly for gaming and general internet and office.

The 10 SATA ports is a big plus for me, but I don't really care about 4 ethernet ports.

What's got me thinking is the P5Q-E has 2 of the SATA ports sticking up under where the video card would sit and i've heard that the vid card will block the sata ports.

Cost is not a consideration here. I just want a good board that will clock well and has a bunch of SATA ports.

thanks for the help.

Do you have to have 10 SATA ports? that's a lot of stuff drawing from your 630W PSU. But if you do, then Premium would fit the bill. I picked Deluxe and it worked out well with 8GB ram.

I could probably live with 8, but I'm worried that the P5Q-E will have a least 2 of it's ports blocked by my vid card.

The E has one blocked port with my 4850, but the included 90 degree SATA cable that Asus provides allows the port to be useable but does come in contact with the card and causes it to flex slightly. Doesn't have any negative effect though.
