My computer defense consists of aol(kaspersky),spy sweeper, and zone alarm 65_737(i use the free fire wall only).

It worked perfectly until I upgraded to zone alarm 70_302(free fire wall). When I upgraded my system started to experience weird crashes, freezes, and radom reboots and shut downs.

So I decided to shut down zone alarm..lol.I uninstalled and decided to go back to 65_737.
Before I reinstalled version 65_737...I ran crap cleaner and registry mechanic to clear out the mess of version 7.

Now when I try to reinstall I get the following messages.

1. Applicatin has failed to start because ZPY.DLL was not found.Re-installing application max fix problem.

I click on okay, then zone alarm continues to install, then this message pops up:

2. Unable to log into true vector service.Install cannot continue without logging into true vector service. Please use the service manager to shut down the true vector service and then restart the program.

Well I checked the service manager and no files exist for true vector or zone alarm.
Can anyone help?

I have used comodo firewall before but zone alarm is easier to understand. It can Identify and put a stop to programs that want to dial out.If anyone else has a better fire wall suggestion or set up...I'm all ears.

I dont understand?
If I click on anything zone alarm related(even the uninstall short cut from the start menu)
it runs and then shows an error message.I cant even uninstall it regularly,it wont let me.
The only way that I can uninstall it is to go to my program file folder and delete the whole folder.Help!!!!Lol

I have never had a problem with zone alarm ....this new version(7) is buggy.

Also, whats a good program to stop unwanted programs from dialing out and acessing the internet.I keep getting weird random phone calls.

my rig is able to run AOL AV with new Zonealarm Pro 7.0.302.00 worked flawless. If you want to re-install old version of ZA is to delete ZA folder that is it.
