having problems with plextor 40x12x40a

have a epox 8kha+ and just installed a plextor 40x12x40a..... I had a plextor 12x10x32 and it worked fine...

I can't see the cdrom in my computer...

In device maanger it sees it but it has a yellow exlamation point..

This is the error message..

I updated the via 4x1 drivers... can someboy help

Did you have to manually install the drivers, or did Windows did it all for you?

If you had to install them manually, check if everything is connecting correctly. Check the IDE cable to see if it's not flipped, jumper settings to whatever it's supposed to be, Molex connector in tight, etc.

Windows XP did everything by itself!

Windows Xp doesn't reconize it
