Having problems with my soundcard

Hi there, I apprecaite any help in advance.

I have a sound blaster audigy card and an onboard sound card in my computer, but I'm having some problems at the moment. Whenever I format I can usually get the sound working, but after a restart it won't work anymore. I've tried installing the proper drivers and everything and the sound card just never works for me.

Any idae what I can do to get my sound card working?

Did you turn off onboard sound in the bios?

try the kxproject audigy drivers... i use them on my audigy and they are 100X better than Creative's drivers.

dont know if it will fix your card (it sounds like its broken), but who knows..

Don't think it's the sound card. Had this same problem when I put in a SB Live, and an old Turtle Beach Montego.

You need to turn off onboard sound in the bios, otherwise it will cause problems such as the ones you described.
