Not quite sure where to post this, but here goes.
I'm having problems with my mic, its either not working or is too low when I'm playing games like Counter-strike or Natural Selection. I even tested with the windows recorder thing. I have to put the mic piece right by my mouth in order for it to speak loud and clear. I've tested all my headsets/mics with my friend's computer and they all work fine on his computer, except for mine. They didn't need to put the mic piece right by their mouth. The specs are in my sig.
I'm using the onboard sound (Soundstorm). The mic used to work before, but it stopped working for sometime, I'm not quite sure what happened. I made sure I had mic boost on and maxed out all my mic settings for voice sensitivity and etc. I've gone through 5 mics so it's definitely not the mic at all. I'm thinking it has to do with the Soundstorm drivers, but I've tried downloading the latest version in the ASUS website and even used the drivers in the cd that came with the motherboard (which worked before when i installed it) and still got the same result. The mic jack itself could be messed up, but I dont know how to determine if thats the problem. If anyone has any idea, pls help.
Thanks
