Having problems with Klipsch Promedia 5.1 speakers in BF1942.

I noticed that only the front speakers are working when I play BF1942 or Medal of Honor AA, no sound in center or rear speakers. The speakers work just fine when playing MP3's, wave files or running a speaker test with the creative labs diagnostics. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this.

Have you configured BF in the options that you are using 5 speakers? (Or is it 4 the max?)

There is no option for the quantity of speakers.

It appears that the front speakers are operational in only EA games. In Vice City and ravensheild center speaker and rear speakers are functional. A co-worker suggested opening the advanced settings on the volume control and check the digital box and this should correct the problem??? The Klipsch 5.1 Promedia have the capability to do that but I have them hooked up with the analog inputs and I am not using any optical or coax cables. Any suggestion other than uninstalling the drivers for the AUD 2 Platinum, then re-installing.

I'll double check when I get home but I'm pretty sure I'm not having this problem.

I'm using PM 5.1's with an Audigy 2. Drivers are about 3 months old but may still be the latest - dunno.

The center speaker doesnt work for me in Vice City, and i have a Audigy1 and Creative Inspire5.1 5300 speakers.
I have a lot of games that are supposidly fully surround games, but the speakers dont always work, sometimes the front 3 work, but not the rear, sometimes the front L/R and the rear, but not the center. And they are all set up right in all areas. Ive only played one game upto now that uses all speakers, and thats Elite Force2, and it sounds amazing.

The center speaker does not work with Vice City. It's predominantly the Front speaker's and that's it. MP'3 and wave file only use 2 speakers too.

I visited the creative labs website and used the auto-update utility to download all of the various drivers required for the Audigy 2 Platinum 5.1 sound card. I then re-booted my system then went into the speaker settings and unchecked the synchronize with control panel button. I recalibrated the speakers and I am now playing the games they are meant to be played. BF1942, MOHAA, Spearhead, Ravenshield, and Doom III alpha smooth as butter.
