<< How is IE slow? And if you absolutly must be rebellious against M$ have you tried Mozilla? >>

I have used Netscape 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 6.0 series, Internet Explorer 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 series, most releases of Mozilla, and Opera 5 and Opera 6.

Opera was, for me, the fastest browser. I was able to perform common tasks fastest in Opera, and it is a fairly quick browser as well. Nobody is trying to be "rebellious against M$" I think. In fact, I use Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office, and I think they're pretty good programs. However, Internet Explorer is too heavy and bloated to be a good choice as my first browser.

IE seems too clumsy and bloated, but so does Mozilla...

You may have a bad copy, or an incomplete download. Try redownloading it and reinstalling it. Perhaps some files were skipped?

Well, if it were a PNG file, I would tell you to make sure that QuickTime isn't interferring.

EDIT: BTW, I have no problems viewing that image with Opera on my computer.

No problem. This is a lot more common in the unix world because of source code problems and different compilers and such.
This is more unlikely in the windows world but it is possible and worth checking out. Also check the file associations of Opera, to make sure that it has control over all the aspects, I.E. pictures, websites, etc.
