I currently have an ATI 8500DV All-In-Wonder agp graphics card installed.
When Windows XP first loads, an error pops up saying ATI desktop control encountered a problem and needs to close. The files listed in the error signature are as follows: appname: atiptaxx.exe and modname: atipdsxx.dll.
This error also occurs when I try to look at the properties of the 8500 card through the display options. I have tried the latest drivers from ATI as well as the latest beta drivers..
If this makes any difference.. I'm also using an ATI Xpert 128 in the PCI slot.. I'm having no problems with that card and the only problems occuring with the 8500 are what I've listed. Everything else works just keen. Thanks.
