I have BellSouth FastAccess DSL w/no DSL modem being used
My neighborhood has no copper in loop to CO, only fibre...100% FITL -- am connected off BellSouth DSLAM via ethernet
When not using router (ie connected directly to PC NIC) EtherNet 300 software / NTS PPPoE adapter is used on my PC (Win98). When testing w/router, software is de-installed from PC.
Have tried to install linksys and d-link gateway / firewall routers but having no luck - can't get PPPoE connection to work. Now trying SMC Barricade router.
Have tried to clone PC's MAC address on the router, but must still be missing something as it still isn't working.
