Hello,

I was working on my grandfather's computer. He wants to try to access a radio station:
http://www.basscountry.fm/ (click "Listen Live" on the upper-right)

It will not load the songs. It will load the flash player without a problem, but it never connects to load the music. Other flash applications (such as playlist.com) work fine.

Here is what I have tried to fix it:
-Reinstalled flash player
-Tried on both firefox and IE7
-Tried disabling windows firewall and Norton firewall & autoprotect. (He's using Norton 360)
-Reinstalled Windows Media Player

Is there any other information that would be useful in helping? I am completely stumpped!

Also, he is looking to upgrade his computer. I suggested upgrading his RAM. I have some DDR2 PC2-6400 lying around the house that I want to use, but the Dell site recommends DDR2 PC2-5300. Will the PC2-6400 RAM definitely be compatible?

Thank you.

It should work without too many problems, what might happen is the mobo can't properly see the ram you put in so it'll just force it to the max the board can read. As for your streaming problem, not really sure what's left to do.

there is never a guarantee of ram compatibility...unless stated by the manufacturer. voltages and all that, esp with prebuilts which have no voltage adjustment. that being said being that close its probably going to work. and yea nows the time to upgrade the rams or try and find out, before ram prices go up as things go to ddr3.

uninstall norton all together and see if that helps. i've had firewall programs go haywire, and they do bad things when they do.. disabled? yea right whatever u say mr haywire firewall!

question is..do other streaming flash sites work. i guess some do, have you streamed using another pc at that house to that site?
