Having problems logging new user onto Win NT Workgroup - Pls. help!

I added the user on the server but when i go to log in it doesn't work... says password is invalid... it also ads the computername\username to the log on but NT 4.0 only asks for the user name... Please help!

Do I need to restart the server every time I add someone?
