Having problems formating 2tb WD drive

I have a brand new 2 Tb Western Digital hard drive. Im installing this in an external enclosure.

After I did a full format it now shows up as 232.88 Gb

How can i get it to see 2 terabytes
 
could be an issue with the enclosure possibly. you could try taking it out and formatting in inside the pc then install it into the enclosure

Where did you buy it ? I have seen people with this problem, and it turns out they bought a item that was returned and re-shrink wrapped.

If that isn't the case, then did you format it using NTFS ?
I would call WD via the # on the box, and see what they say, DON'T open it, it will void the warranty.
