Having Problem with Linksys 4 port

Right now I have Earthlink DSL, PPPoE. I hooked up the router to my PC and the DSL modem. And for some I can't get on line, the status just keeps showing "looking for Connecton" and I can't get online, I enabled PPPoE and all that already in the setting. Any Ideas on what to do?

Every DSL Company plays the game a little different (and I don't have Earthlink.

In General
If your Router is PPPOE enable, you put the DSL info. (Id, and password) in the Router?s own menus, and then uninstall any Network related PPPOE installation on your computer. Leave On only the regular TCP/IP NetBEUI, or what ever other protocols that you use.

You can find more here:

Basically, you need to have the correct domain in the setup screen (for me that swbell.nbci.com), and you have to have the DNS servers. These will be specific to your service.

Maybe you should go to www.dslreports.com and look around for support.

Do you think you could explain what you did to get it to work? I'm going to get Earthlink soon...

btw, how is Earthlink DSL?
