this just started happening to me recently. whenever i open azureus and leave it on for about 5-10, my computer freezes and just restarts itself. if i have azureus open and i'm disconnected from the internet (so nothing is downloading/uploading) it's fine. i tried utorrent and have the same problem. i guess it's not really azureus or utorrent but it's downloading torrents that's causing the restart. anyone know what's going on? i have no idea what to do. any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmm, if it is freezing/restarting you probably have bigger problems.

Maybe update your java client? (or uninstall/reinstall)
Might be mainboard/Nic drivers (as mentioned above)
Overclocking? Is your PC prime stable?

^ that's the best torrent client, everyone uses it these days.

Hes right, i switched from azurus to utorrent because azureus was causing excessive bootup times.

Heh and in reading the rest of the post :p i would also suggest updating nic drivers, and maybe taking a look at the minidump files and the event viewer for some clues.

As others have said this is always just a symptom. Update your drivers, check your memory, if your overclocking try slow down mem/cpu timings....
