Having OT at work rocks

I worked an extra 3 hours last night to cover some employees that called out. The company has a strict policy that there is to be no paid OT. So we get to cut the hours from the days we come in. We're also never supposed to cut the OT on the weekend unless it's absolutely necessary, so that leaves Friday for me.

Original shift:
10-7 with a 1 hour lunch break

OT Cutting shift:
2-7 with no lunch break

Ahh it's good being able to just relax in the early afternoon.

Yeah, I have a similiar situation. They always want a geek around in the late afternoon in case someone has a question, but here lately they don't want to pay overtime. So that means I have 3 hours a week to skim off whenever I want. 😀 I usually pick Thursday, cause Fridays are lax around here anyway.

I have the same OT issue, but I generally leave early. Nothing going on in the mornings anyway for me to do outside work.

I've been working some early shifts lately (5-2, 6-3, 7-4) and have to get up for school around 730-8 (I don't have a day off between school and work) so it was nice to get a day to sleep in late and just lounge around.

I would be in the poor house if my job didn't allow any OT, the only way I can make decent money is working 60 hours a week.
