I freaking hate going to the dentist...
3 of them are impacted:(
the bottom two are totally horizontal and way under the skin...I wish I had a scan of the xray.... it looks crazy...

I'm getting 4 wisdom teeth and a baby tooth that has managed to stick around in the front of my mouth...that somehow I never noticed... a baby tooth still at 25

I'm pretty nervous about it but, I've had this horrible taste in my mouth from it for sometime... so it has to be done...
It really sucks having to throw down $1500 dollars.

They are giving putting me under via IV so I hope I don't remember anything...
I've never had an IV in my hand/arm.... another unnerving thought for me to deal with...

I know i'm being a big baby about it but, the whole freaking process just scares the crap outta me....I've got this horrible feeling that something is not going to work right....

you won't remember a thing, you'll be like talking to the people while having some gas and IV. then suddenly you're sitting somewhere else all done.

Once you get the iv and the good stuff get pumped into you you wont care what happends. You will be so far gone the dentist will have sexual relations with you and you wouldnt remeber it at all.
Might wake up with another taste in your mouth though :p

Good luck, I'm headed in for all four of my wisdom teeth on Friday the 13th this month.

They gave me a steroid either before or with the anesthetic IV drip. They told me it might make me itchy. They weren't kidding... made my body feel like ants were crawling all over me, especially in my nether regions.
The anesthetic knocked me out fairly well... I was vaguely aware at one point of them breaking out one of the teeth in pieces. A couple times I heard the heart monitor flatline and they asked me if I could go ahead and breathe for them. Two and a half hours later I got up and felt just fine. Bled for eight hours or so, then ate regular food the next day. No swelling or pain or anything.

yeah..that kind of stuff will knock you out cold. now only is it an anesthetic, you wont remember a thing. basicallly go to bed and wake up with some swollen gums.

now make sure you dont get that dentist who use to squirt sperm in his patients mouth while they were in his chair.

Eh, you'll be fine I've been there.

Just hope that whenever you have a root canal the dentist doesn't forget any of the roots. My dentist did that and I'd rather get stabbed with a knife then deal with that again.

That, my friend is pain.

when they put you under with teh IV, it's awesome. The doctor told me to count backwards from 10. My dad told me that I made it to 8.

I woke up in the middle of mine while the doctor was yanking on my tooth. I started screaming but he just kept yanking, and then I must've passed back out because I don't remember anything after that.

I kept my wisdom teeth because I hate the thought of extracting them. I'm 31 now, and as my wisdoms came in, they pushed the other teeth around and now I have a crooked smile. One of them never came out though. Anyway, I guess I wished I had braved it and had them yanked.

I was there when my wife had a couple pulled out and she was so out of it for maybe an hour after the procedure. We couldn't get her to get out of the dentist's chair. It was pretty funny.
