I just got a used laptop off ebay and its all fine and dandy, but i want to wipe everything on it and install a clean copy of win 2k. The problem is that it is one of those slim laptops, a Toshiba Protege 7020CT, and the cd-rom drive that I am trying to get the computer to boot from is plugged into the PCMCIA slot. How am I supposed to get the computer to boot from a PCMCIA cd-rom drive? I am sure someone has wiped one of these computers before, or at least something like it. please help. i need this computer to work for me here. Thanks

well if you have a floppy drive that you can boot off of you can get a w2k bootdisk from bootdisks.com and try to format

I went to the website already. The problem is that I cant find cd rom drivers that support a PCMCIA cd-rom drive, and will do the win2k install. If someone out there is familier with writing boot disks, it would be a tremendous help if you could show me how to make one that supports my pcmcia cd-rom drive. thanks.
