I got this laptop in 2003 and gave it to a cousin. She said it's been crashing on her since yesterday. The computer will go BSOD on her and me anytime. Then sometimes when we restart it wouldn't display anything on the screen. It also freezes up (and the screen may go greyish-white) in the BIOS and in SAFE MODE. Any way to investigate this problem if it's freezing in the BIOS?
EDIT: If I turn it off for a while, it would boot up and allow me to log in, only to display the BSOD. However, if I immediately try to turn it on again, it'll just shut down by itself.
EDIT2: The problem was the memory module. I replaced one of them with an old one I had lying around and everything is working fine.
