I'm using a com21 modem on a 768 cable, and recently I've been get quite a few incomplete downloads, for example, if a file is 4MB, it might download 2.3MB and say download complete when it's not. Using mirc, %95 of the dcc tranfers are always geting: transfer incomplete message, and when I play rogue spear online, I keep getting "connection to game server lost, and also I sometimes get disconnected from the zone server, but the strange thing is my cable isn't down when this keeps happening. Doing a speedtest shows my speed is running well, I've tried a fresh install of win98se using fdisk then format, I've tried a 3com and a linksys nic card and still the same. Also I have 5 lights on my modem labeled in the following order: PWR: green RF: green TD: flashing green RD: not on LNK: green
now i'm thinking TD stands for transfer data? and RD is receive data? when every I surf the web or download, both TD and RD is green, but when I'm using the web or even when my computer is off the TD light is always flashing green like it's transfering data, could this be the problem?
