Having issues playing MPEG files on a 6800 GT, any suggestions?

My MPEG files from DVD movies are grainy, any reason why this my be the case? I just recently upgraded from an ATI 9800 PRO where the files played just fine.

Your suggestions please.
 
i think if you are using the latest video drivers you have to change some color settings. i read it somewhere on the hot deals forum about a 6800gt deal. fatwallet i believe. also i remember someone saying to use the optimized drivers from guru3d?
