Having hard time finding ideal/ceiling temps for AII X3 440 Rana

I've been googling and checking through AMD's website and can't find the stock general temps and ceiling temps for the Athlon II X3 440 Rana CPU. Perhaps someone here is more of a search ninja than me?

I need something to compare it to when I build tomorrow.

Does it really matter?

I think AMD's processors generally run at the same stock temperatures. The ones with more cores have larger heatsinks but still run at the same temp. I have an Athlon II X4 620, Phenom II X2 550, and a Phenom II X6 1055. They all run at about 50 degrees C during prime95 testing.

Max temp? That Athlon II X4 and Phenom II X2 each crash at about 70C. Some people on this forum swear up and down that you can run a processor hotter than 70 but I think they're full of shit. 70C is the limit on every processor I have, that includes both AMD and Intel.

With current AMD cpus I like to be under 60C on stress tests. That way I'm safe in the summers.

My QX6850 ran stable at 85C in each core and crashed at 90C, my current CPU runs at 80C and doesn't crash until it reach 90C. Both processors were tortured with Linpack x64. I think that Intel processors can withstand temperatures better due to their better and more mature manufacturing process. But I think that with very high temperatures, the CPU needs higher voltage, but the CPU will get hotter. Just get a nice cooler and play with the voltages, and for sure it will work like a champ. My gf has an Athlon II X4 635 at stock using the stock cooler and it idles at 29C and never goes above 45C during full load. My CPU idles at 34C and never goes above 65C in a typical load and never goes beyond 80C with Linpack x64.

Perfectly stable. I did have the fan stopped with my finger so this is not normal operating conditions. I would've gone higher but my finger was getting a little warm. 😀
