Having freezing problems in current O/C setup any help

not sure if this would be the best place to ask this but... here goes
the programs i'm having trouble in are SWKOTOR and Commandos3
I seem to be able to play BF1942 just fine tho....

Here is my system set-up

CPU: Intel P4 2.4C 2400MHz @ 3015MHz
O/C is 250fsb vcore is 1.565
thermaltake Spark 7+ cpu cooler, Thermaltake tiger 1 NB cooler

Motherboard: ASUS P4P800E -Deluxe
BIOS;
Memory excel mode: Auto
Performance mode:Auto

Memory: 1536mb (2x512mb, 2x256mb) of GeiL Golden Dragon PC3200 - 400 mhz Dual channel
this is at a 5:4 (320mhz)(which still runs at 400mhz because of the change in fsb), CL timings at 2-3-3-6, 2.8 vdimm
thermaltake active memory cooler

Video Card: Nvidia Geforce4FX 5600 ultra 256mb (FX 5600)
53.03 drivers no O/C (standard 325mhz core, 400mhz memory)
had O/C'd stable at 350mhz core and 460mhz memory but changed back to default to see if would make difference


Hard Drive: Maxtor ultra ata 133 8mb cache 120.0 GB @ 7200 RPMS
Additional Hard Drives: maxtor ultra ata 133 40gb 2mb cache
Monitor: sony CPD 200 trinitron 17"

i think it might be a video card prob or maybe memory based problem.
What is exactly happening is it will freeze all of a sudden whether 5 mins into the game or 30mins.
and i reset and try and go back into it, its never at the load screens just when i go into the games.
and i havnt had any freezes on the desktop, (just watched the first 5 "Band-of-Brothers" DVD's one right after the other with no probs)
I hav not had a chance yet to test if it happens in other games besides the ones mentioned.
Is it my O/C that is causing my problems, I ran Prime 95 for 18hrs the other day and had no errors, I've run 3DMark01 & 03, as well as PCMark04, Sisandra, i use the latest version of MBM, and i have no viruses (scanned with the latest Norton 2003 *updated*)
The only thing i was about to do and probably will tonight is run Memtest86 and i will post what that says......

ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
 
When I first built my new machine in September, I had a problem where certain games froze on me. I was finally able to narrow the problem down to unstable RAM timings.

My RAM was too fast for my mobo (@ 2-2-2-6) to handle, so I set the timings back to 2-3-3-6 and it seemed to solve my problems. Hope this helps.
 
2-3-3-6 is what my timings are at ( that is also what the sticker on the RAM says they are rated at)

EDIT: should i lax them even more to say 2.5-4-4-8 or something ??
