Having eBay feedback in our sigs

I had mym ebay feedback link in my signature for about 4 days before a mod removed it and told me it was a no-no to link to eBay. Recently I've probably counted about 15-20 people who have their eBay feedback link in their signatures and have noticed a few that had the link in their sig for more than a few months. Is it ok now or are these people just slipping below the radar?
 
I don't put mine or let it be known because I do purchase some items personal items I prefer to keep private. Now, with the link to eBay, were you trying to sell some of your items through eBay here on AT?
