having computer problems

im running Windows ME and my computer just froze and when i restarted it the GoBack software said that my computer crashed while it was in the middle of creating some file, so then the only way i could get my computer to boot was to disable GoBack, and then my hard drive would be reverted to a couple days ago. this has happened to me 2 days in a row, reverting the HD back to the same day each time. every time i lose like 3 gigs of my stuff. it really sux

anyone know what is going on? is this a problem with GoBack?

please help, i dont want it to happen again

for the love of god, you need to trash WinME and get a real operating system like 2k (or *nix). If you MUST, then use Win98. But GOD not WinME.

Anyway, I dunno, maybe GoBack has issues with WinME's own SysRestore

I have had poor luck with ME as well.
I was running ME and 2000 Pro Dual boot.
I scraped ME and went back to 98 SE and life has been much better!
2000 Pro is the bomb though. I never have trouble with it, though 98 is better for gaming.

yup agree with most of the above. ME is crap. you can pick up cheap OS at newegg *refurb* section. or you could always try hotline

GoBack sucks ass. My friend had it...it made an error...and he never got windows started right again. So we booted into safe mode...uninstalled that sucker and everything it did...and no problems anymore...no lockups even. geez. you think WinME is bad...try putting GoBack in there...it's like WinME x 3.
