Having a vary hard time picking a KT333 board.

I need some input, well any input regarding the KT33 boards. I was thinking of getting the soyo dragon but it doesn't have a 1/5 divider. Oh will a larger strip size really matter in a Raid 0 setup. All the promise raid controllers are stuck at 64k but your able to increase the strip size with the highpoints. I really need help. Review sites haven't been really useful.

Just because this belongs in motherboards doesn't mean that you have to ignore me!

Epox/Abit are the only manufacturer that uses a the High Point Raid which allows use to select strip sizes and more raid options...........but there boards don't have as many integrated features like msi/gigabyte/etc do. Epox has the best KT333 solution performance wise..........go grab it.

I have to disagree...Abit mobos are far more stable in my experience in overclocking enviroments.

Go for the MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU. I got one, and it's a great board!

i usually come down to deciding between asus and abit when choosing a board
asus for quality/stability
abit for enthusiast features

i just built a system for my uncle based on the a7v333
the only thing it didn't have that woulda been nice was mem voltage adjustments (the mem coulda used them to hold higher timings)
other than that it was great ( C.O.P was a bonus ) mmmmmmm

I have the epox board, its excellent and I have had no lockups etc.. so far.

When my time comes, and I hope it is soon, I will go for a MSI KT3 Ultra (I don't need no stinking RAID ). I just don't think you can beat MSI quality for $81 delivered from Newegg. But then I am extremely cheap and could care less about a 1 or 2 % performance difference as long as the board is stable, reliable and durable. And all of the MSI mainboards I have used have been. (Okay, all 4 of them! )

Apparentely you haven't used an Abit board in awhile.
My KR7A Raid board has been rock stable since day one.
Abit has come along way with their quality.
In fact, in my opinion are one of the most stable motherboards out there.

You can't go wrong with established names like Asus, Abit, and MSI and Epox. Personally, I've used all of these mobo brands but lately stuck to Abit and Asus.

check out the kt333 roundup, i went through it and eliminated about half of them because of the crappy raid and some of the others for various reasons.... for me it came down to either the soyo dragon plus (or whatever the kt333 one is called) or the 8k3a+. I wanted the soyo but the cheapest was 140 bucks which is too much for me. ended up going with the 8k3a+ and im very happy. finally a board that uses the cpu's internal thermal diode! if you can afford the soyo go for it, the integrated firewire/usb 2.0/lan/audio is nice. but if price matters I highly recommend the epox.
