I remember seeing a thing on the discovery channel about body mods (extreme ones). Generally none of the people that do it are licensed. And while the few they had on seemed competent you are certainly taking a risk. And since they are not licensed forget about any sort of anesthetic.
You are young and while I really don't care what other people do as long as they are not hurting somebody else I would suggest you put a LOT of thought into this before you go any further. The reactions you are getting here (almost all negative, some extremly so) are a good indication of what the rest of your life will be like with them. If its worth that much too you...well thats pretty weird, but too each their own.
If you are still really serious about it I would recommend trying to find some sort of costume ears and wear those for awhile. I am sure they are pricey (high quality Fx type stuff usually is) but even if they are a few hundred thats going to be a hell of a lot cheaper then surgery. Plus, that will give you some time to see what its like to try to live with them out in public. If you decide its not such a good idea after all you can just stop wearing them.
I am willing to bet that in the 5-6 years from now that you were thinking of doing this you will have changed your impression of this to "what the hell was I thinking" lol.

Haha! That's far from true! By looking at the way you respond to other people, we can clearly see that you have a problem and insulting people to forget it, thus giving you higher chances to die alone and in a miserable way. Do it if you truely want to. Just know that alot of people aren't going to like/accept elf ears. And don't worry about what people say about body hair. Most people don't seem to understand body hair is just a leftover from a previous time. Most of it is not necessary anymore.
