I realized today i was running dual channel ram on single channel. I read that you need to put the RAM in slots 1/3 or 3/4 on the Asus A8N-E. I do that and i get a Bios Checksum error and it tries to boot from CD rom, looks for a floppy and then sits there after it can't find a floppy. As i stated i am using the Asus A8N-E and 1024mb OCZ 2-3-3-8 dual channel kit. My monitor doesn't flick on til in this process either, i tapped my Delete key to try and enter the bios.

I think you meant 1/3 or 2/4 slots. If after rebooting and there is a checksum error, the bios should allow you enter the bios settings and correct the error. If it doesn't, then maybe this is a bios bug. So check if there is a new bios. For the meantime re-set the rams and then boot the system. Make sure the system is stable before attempting to flash to a newer bios.
