having a nightmare trying to setup 5.1 speakers on Asus A8N-E onboard sound

Hey

I have an Asus A8N-e Motherboard, I have the latest bios and have tried both nvida drivers and those from the asus website for the onboard sound but I'm still having problems.

Basically my 5.1 speakers have 3 leads, a black one, yellow one and a light green one. The motherboard has blue, orange, black, light green, grey and pink inputs.
I can only seem to get sound through all three wires from the grey socket (which i obviously can't plug in all at once) and only when set to 5.1 in NvMixer, but it's even more messed up because when sound comes through the front speakers according to the NvMixer it is from the rear speakers.

I had a creative 5.1 card in before which worked just fine but had to sell it as part of another computer I was selling, I plan on getting a new one soon but for now I really need sound, I've also looked in the bios but couldnt see any settings there that might help.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get 5.1 running on it or have similar coloured speaker cords for 5.1 they could tell me how they have it set up.

Thanks

I've managed to get sound coming out of all the speakers and subwoofer now, it's just pretty messed up. It thinks my front speakers are side speakers on a 7.1 setup when I do the speaker wizard. Yet at the same time I can control their volume with the rear speaker volume tabs. And although the centre speaker makes sound on the test, it doesnt in any games or music with 5.1 selected.

jesus, now I can hear static through the speakers when I move my mouse. wtf

edit: oh and there is no sound on instant messages etc, but is for music...
