From my experience, the big black fuzzy bumblebees aren't that stingy - it's the smaller, shiny striped yellow and black ones that are sting-happy. Ech, I hate getting stung.

Yellow Jackets/Hornets?

Yeh those things have a serious bad attitude.
No I think he means honey bee drone things.

I wouldn't have tried to kill it, that's just silly. It's not like it's going to land on you just to sting you.

I like bumble bees. :)

You have the worst of luck while driving. I was searching under "motorcycles" and I found one of your old threads about a motorcycle nearly landing on your car hood.

I was driving to work with my windows open and something flew in and landed on my shoulder, I thought it was a leaf and I went to brush it off and when I brought my hand down to shift gears I saw something dangling from my hand and it was a wasp with its stinger stuck into my hand trying to fly away. I flicked it off and the stinger was stuck in my hand moving around. 10 Seconds after seeing the wasp my hand started burning from that stinger. As soon as I got into work my hand swelled up 3x times normal size and hurt like hell.

Not as bad as a friend I knew. We were at a tennis tournament and we were resting under some trees (it was his birthday as well) and he looked up and yawned and a bird crapped in his mouth. (Not a joke btw).

:Q ROFLMAO :D

DOH!
I had a wasp fly in my window and land on my back while driving once....I took off my seatbelt, leaned forward...which mashed my foot down on the pedal...and swatted at my back like a raving loon.
I was clocked doing 80mph, with no seatbelt when the DPS trooper pulled me over.

True story.
She (yes she was prety hot) laughed at me, but still gave me a ticket for the no seat belt.

I had one fly down my shirt once, stinging me about 7-8 times.

Yeah I know they are only supposed to be able to sting ONCE, this one broke the rules.

It was .... not fun.

No this sucks more:

Being at a red light in your top down wrangler and being attacked by a bee. Then... you look like a jackass when you go crazy and try to swat it... then you get stung...................

What a bunch of pansies. That was no bee, Brutuskend. You need to know your enemy. I almost died as a child from a sting, (allergic reaction) thought I was going to at the time, so I became a bee keeper. I'm an ape anyway. Now who will get that? :D Anyway, bees, like Azrael said won't ever sting unless protecting the hive or pressure is put on their bodies like from a slap, etc. I had one fly down my shirt too and just pulled my motorcycle to the curb, gently lifted my shirt and waited for it to fly out which it soon did.

thebestMax, I almost knew what you mean by a bumble bee at 70, but I ducked. I wasn't so fast with the banana slug my front wheel flipped up in my face. Lucky me, I had my mouth open or I'd of got it in the face.

Don't panic, stay calm, stop and let the bee out. Panic can get you killed.
