Haven't bought Nvidia in a while....couple of questions

It's been years since owning an Nvidia card. Do the current drivers/control center have something equivalent to AMD/ATI's feature of "presets"? In particular, I like having an icon on my desktop that can switch my desktop to extended or go back to 1 display only. This is easily achieved by AMD's "presets" feature. What about Nvidia? Anything similar present in their control panel?

Also, does Nvidia's control panel have manual fan control like in AMD/ATI's overdrive?

I use MSI Afterburner for my fan control/overclocking. As far as the display selection, I am not sure if Nvidia's control panel has anything that can do that. I just hit Windows key + P in Windows 7 and it gives me the choices. When I want to extend the display onto my HDTV (for movies), I hit Win+P until "extend" is highlighted. Pretty easy, and allows the card to go back into idle clocks when I don't use the second display.

Does MSI afterburner work for any brand? I am probably going to buy an Asus.

To keep from making a new thread, I will just ask here....

Without getting into biased ideas about Nvidia vs. ATI (i.e. I am not really wanting a flame war here), is there anything one's control panel offers that the other does not?
