Have you worked as a Movie Extra?

Anyone ever been a Movie Extra?

I saw a job posting in a local paper for movie extras.. no experience required,,just for a few extra bucks.

Never been a movie extra abut I have been in music videos. The pay sucked but it was a fun way to earn a few bucks while in college. Most of the time was just spent sitting/standing around waiting for your shot but we did do some action/fight scenes that were a blast. The performers wanted us to arrest them and wanted the fight to look as real as possible, I got the throw the guy onto the hood of a cop car and bang him around a little bit. I told them that they could have it as real as they wanted... you punch me and I'll punch you right back. The video ended up looking pretty damn good. Fun time : )

It's been a fw years and I'm not really a fan of the music so I could be getting this wrong... The fight scene (in the rain @ night) was for Ahmad, I think the song was 'Back in the day'. I've also been in "Havin' Thangs" by Big Mike and Somthing by Scarface & Ice Cube.... I think it was something about a dead body.

Like I said, I'm not really a fan of the music. They just wanted a few big white guys that could dress up like cops and didn't mind getting rough.

No, but my long-time GF was an on-camera extra in the movie "Disclosure". Said it was really boring -- lots of waiting, etc. Had to sit on a ferry going round and round in Puget Sound for 10 hours.

Thats like really into it.
I just want to be like the people on the street that they use just to fill the scene.

I did not get on film, but they filmed portions of James Bond "Tomorrow Never Dies" at the base I was stationed at in England. Pierce Brosnan was jumping from a plane and to simulate the plane flying, a bunch of us were on the wings and tail jumping up and down. Inside it looked like turbulence.

Umm... pics of what ? This was about 10 years ago... I was an intoxicated college student. I have a hard enough time remembering the names. We didn't have camera phones back then : )

no, but they did use my parents house for the Prefontane story. Yes that is correct Al Bundy was at my parents house. But unfortunately they cut that part of the movie.
