When I was little and "the" internet was just coming around as dialup to people's homes very slowly, I was already surfing and such. Well, that was when I was a little boy when there was no SPAM or worries of getting your credit cards stolen online. Anyway, I used to watch the Fox channel because they had a bunch of neat shows like Power Rangers back then. From time to time, they'd have contests and you could enter them online or send a postcard. I never really sent a postcard, and instead sent it online for every contest.

I think there were so few people, I won almost every contest.

First, I won some nice tickets, not front row, but near it, with an escort before the circus showing how they do everything, got some time with a clown, and a whole ton of goodies like shirts, books, candy, etc, with it. Not to mention, 4 bags of those goodies! One for each ticket!

Then, I began winning other smaller stuff, but not grand prizes, like sets of action figures, etc. I don't remember exactly what because this was a long time ago. I got to the point where the lady who called up the winners always asked us if I had won anything in the past 6 months because one of the rules is that you can't win more often than once every 6 months.

Thats most of the things I've won, and now at area-64.com I can't win anything....

Official "Search for Real Life GI Joe 50th Anniversary Contest" runner up.

I got $1,000 donated to my charity, and about 15 GI Joe action figures, lol.

I won a Bicycle at a Bowling Alley Drawing once. Of course I already had my license at the time and it was a cheap(ish) dirtbike so I didn't have much use for it... but I took it anyway.

I once got 4 #'s in the Pick4 lotto, but, the middle two were reversed so I didn't win crap... if I had boxed it I would have got like $250, or if the 2 were reversed I'd have gotten like $5k. That was one of the first few times I every played a lotto type game. After that I didn't play much, and still don't.

I think I've won a few other small things. But nothing ever really big.

I won the 56 Buick from "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead" movie. I had the option of taking $5,000 instead, and gladly accepted the check!

In 1984 I won the local "Draw Joe" contest, w/ a very crappy drawing of the GI Joe hovercraft.

Got a remote controlled GI joe tank.

Took it through 1 puddle, and it became a hand controlled tank :)

I had a chance to win $10,000.00 a three years ago on a call-in radio contest. They played once a day, and they took two callers. If the first caller didn't answer the question correctly (they would spin a wheel with five different catagories), they'd go on to the next caller. Of course, they wouldn't ask the same question. The first callers category was MTV, and the question was "Who were the original five MTV VJ's?" Of course, to me, that is common knowledge (JJ Jackson, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood, Martha Quinn). The caller didn't know it, so they go onto me. They spin the wheel, and my category was "The Beatles" and my question was "In the Beatles song "A day in the life", how long is the out chord?" WHO THE FVCK KNOWS THAT?????? I did a quick google search and couldn't come up an answer, so I took a shot in the dark and said 20 seconds, but the answer was 16 seconds. :(

I won the Teen Tech Fest contest that Microsoft put on in 2000. They flew me out to Washinton for a couple of days and gave me some free stuff.

you know those stupid sprite promotions during march madness where they make you look under the cap to see which "team" you have and then if that team wins the national championship you win a huge prize?

well four years back, when michigan state won the NCAAs a friend of mine got Michigan State for her cap. And everyone knew going into the tournament that they were the favorites to win it all.

i ended up transferring so i never found out if she won or what she won but i'm pretty sure she was one of two or three grand prize winners across the entire US (since michigan state did, indeed, win the NC that year)

I won one huge contest. It required strength, health, wits and lots of luck. I beat around 1 million other contestants in that, and came out to be the only winner. Sure winning the lottery has bigger odds, but this is the contest that matters. I hereby proclaim myself a winner and a champion.
