Hi,

I have recently been using MPD, Music Player Daemon, and it is just an awesome program it allows you to have a daemon running which will play music files for you, and then you can have clients connecting to it. This is my favorite program so far when it comes to playing music. There's a few clients for all different tasts. Their website is: www.MusicPD.org go ahead and give it a try if you haven't.
