I just saw it yesterday. I think it was odd movie. But then again it was funny and very serious. I have a hard time describing it but it wasn't the greatest movie with Jim Carrie I've seen.

My favorites is: 'Liar Liar', 'The Mask' and 'The Truman Show'.

What do you think and what are your favorites if any???.

AoD 😉

Jim Carey did an excellent job of portraying Andy Kaufman. The only problem was that most people hated Andy in real life and hated the film character portrayed also. He did too good a job of acting.

I liked most of his films since "Rubberface". I haven't seen his latest yet.

Sorry, but I thought the Mask SUCKED. Man in the Moon was way better, not to mention the acting of Carrie was excellent. IMHO

Hmmm, does that mean that Andy Kaufman actually lived???...Sorry for my lack of knowlagde, but I just thought it was a selfmade character

OMG I loved Andy Kaufman... I'll have to rent the movie. I was a big Taxi fan growing up... oh, my dear Latka. 🙂

Milk and cookies for everyone!

"It's gotta be me .... !!!" hehe loved the movie but it was one odd movie. I went home and I was puzzled since I didn't know the full story of Andy Kaufman.

yes... Andy was a real living person.

Now, as for Tony Clifton, that's another story.

The best Andy Kaufman piece was the post humous "I'm From Hollywood", which followed his wrestling escapades with Jerry Lawler. I don't think many people in the business of comedy really liked him that much as a person. His role in Taxi will live forever in the hearts of his fans.
But that film, which was an hbo original, i think, was very good and informative, except for it did not go into the whole business of the fact it was all fake and staged, but hey, we all knew that.
