Have you rented any really good DVD's lately ?

I'm running to blockbuster today and didn't see much last time that really looked worth watching.
Anyone have recommendations?

I think the last truly great movie we rented was The Pianist.

Honorable mentions go to:

Confidence - Thoroughly enjoyable film from beginning to end. Rent it if you've not seen it.
S.W.A.T. - Predictable, but still entertaining. Good cast.
League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Expected shite, but it was different in a good way. We both enjoyed it.

No offense, but we must have very different tastes.
I tried to watch League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and turned it off half way through.
I thought it was absolutely horrible. Terrible acting, terrible script. Ughhh. It just made we wonder wtf Sean Connery was thinking.

I've seen SWAT and Confidence. I enjoyed them both.
We also just watched American Wedding and that was good.
Bad Boyz II was mediocre but still pretty entertaining.

I haven't rented a DVD in years.... I either buy them or D/L them. The best movie to come out recently on DVD that I've seen would probably be Dreamcatcher and TLOTR:TT Extended Edition
