Have you read Flight404.com? Wow. What the hell?

This is a known page among design sites for its very cool flash work.. ect.
That isn't the utility of the page, however.

Graphical content isn't why I'm posting this site though. Read the INVESTIGATION NOTES. There is a link at the bottom of the page.
Make sure you go all the way back, because they start in SEPT, and end in DEC.

Hit the "First" button and it'll bring it all back.
I don't want to give anything away.. I think the journals are really something. Have a read.

All I have to say is.. CREEPY

http://www.flight404.com

There is no way you guys read the journals in that short a time...

I don't want to spoil the suspense.. It was really hooked my interest.. But I'll post summerized facts when I get un-lazy.

Flight404 is a plane that went missing.
-There was full contact before the plane went missing, including "approach transactions" between the plane and the airport tower it was about to land at..
-Then:
-It "crashed" into the ocean, 240 miles away from where the planes black box was found (in a field)... not to mention nowhere NEAR the Airport.
-The case was mysteriously dropped after being pursued to no end by the FBI and the NTSB.
-There was a murder/suicide surrounding the only witness' that the investigation had.

There is a lot more of cool interesting facts..

Long story short, after the case was dropped the guy that owns that site decided to figure the case out himself..
He's received numerous death threats, letters, and help from anonymous people.. Including a FedEx box full of documentation of Flight404, its papers, flight information, passengers/seats, cargo, ect.

Wonderful footage and effects. The story didn't captivate me though. I'm going to have to spend some time studying the effects though. Some of them were really wonderful.

Hey, kgraeme.

Is it a STORY, though?

Instead of the journals, use the other link if you haven't yet.. That is where the real Flash "gold" is.

Perhaps they should add a button to SKIP INTRO. Waiting for that crap to load on my 21.6k connection at work is pure BS.

If it is so well known among design sites, someone should clue them in on a well known feature...

<edit> I see after waiting the 7 minutes for the site to load that there is no intro, that is the whole site. Perhaps a non-flash version? I hit first to, then when I hit next it didn't do anything... Ohwell. I'll read it at home on my COMCAST cable connection. If it is still working when I get home.

yeah so i've done my little bit of researching in the past few mins

i've come to decide that this is a hoax page... since if 200+ lives were lost there would be something other than this about this site about it

has anyone here heard about flight 404 going down? if there was a search and all the bull we would remember it
I can remember a TON of flights in my head that have crashed... its not something people forget

I'm sure this is totally fake. It supposedly happened around September of 2001. With all that happened then, I'm sure we would've heard something about this one.

All you have to do is search for the NTSB transcripts to see if they actually exist? Maybe a tv news site or paper has them. It should be public record, unless the aliens stole them! j/k

My connection is too slow and I'm too lazy to look myself. So please if anyone finds anything post it here...I would like to know if it's a hoax.

while mildly interesting to read, it doesnt seem to follow the logical progression of the story, like the 12.11 one it just makes a break in the story and drops the suspense when he talks about restructuring his site...

that and its not finished, judging by the slow progress up to this point ill forget about the site in a few weeks when nothing big happens regularly...

what do you mean hoax? its a story, there is no truth at all...he even talks about press statements made to the media and all, and its obvious that nothing of the sort happened...

that and a 777 has never gone down.

It is just a fictional story, besides if it DID happen in Septemberof 2001, there would be news plastered all over.
News crews were eager to pick up on anything that had to do with airplanes that month.

This is bad knockoff of the Blair Witch genre "simulated reality" fiction.

Instead of an evil witch killing people, aliens steal a plane and allow hundreds of people to fall to their deaths.

Yeah, guy, whatever.

It just so happens that the brilliant amateur detective who takes it upon himself to investigate this case is also a Flash designer. And needs a Flash portfolio to show off his work. And chooses this case to show off his Flash brilliance. And keeps posting updates to his investigation publicly, at the cost of ruining the entire investigation. And in all of this, he finds the time to illustrate his postings with cute animations that must take hours apiece to prepare.

He also manages to update his site from places as remote as a tiny village hotel in Amsterdam.

Like I said, whatever.

At least Blair Witch TRIED to look remotely credible.

P.S. The story is stupid too.

That was the ladies story, and he himself said it was BS right after he listed his transcript.

What are you talking about? He didn't do *anything* brilliant, and he only began detective work after the case itself was dropped.

Heh, it can be done. Are you sure thats a computer your typing from?

Dude, it is NOT CREDIBLE.

How does a guy find an ISP accessible from the middle of nowhere within hours?

WHY does a guy waste his time in Amsterdam making up a stupid Flash animation and updating a web site?

It is NOT CREDIBLE.

Does anyone else think it would be fitting to call that site "404 not found"? Well, it amused me and my little world.
