for some reason this thread reminded me of Amused ... 😛

(but he typically does know what he's talking about, he just loves to let everyone know)

One of my coworkers is like this. He can't sit and listen for 32 seconds without having to interject something, whether it be about software development or nuclear physics.

It's frustrating, because he IS an intelligent person. He just doesn't know when to talk and when to shut up. He's too wrapped up in constantly trying to impress everyone that sometimes he just makes an absolute fool of himself.

This made me smile. 😀

I do the same thing sometimes. I get blank stares from people. I just get excited when I get to talk about something I like. 🙂

i just nod my head and say ok...

there's no arguing with those people or trying to tell them that they are wrong, they are always right

Car "guys" are the worst. My favorite question asked thus far is, why put a blow-off valve on if it doesn't make noise. 🙁

I almost never talk about cars or sports teams/players (except a little soccer and basketball). It amazes me though that my friends can remember all those facts and figures about a car or a player. Simply incredible. The most I know about cars is how to maintain them (oil change, brake pad change...) and how to play sports.

I love Top Gear though because it is a well produced and entertaining show.

Top gear gets my

The only way to get rid of those people is to totally pwnz their azz. If you do anything less, they will take it as a cue to regale you with more of their idiocy.

I argued with my girlfriend for an hour and a half the other night because she said that mutual funds only consist of bonds. An hour later and about forty web definitions later, I still couldn't convince her that they consist of more than just bonds. Sigh...
