Have you listened to your entire MP3 collection?

Nope, because I don't like some of the songs I have (like where I got an entire album but only like select songs).
Plus I have some of other peoples music that I can't be bothered to get rid of, but that I don't want to listen to.

I've only got 5:45 hours worth of music, but I rarely have six hours that I can just set aside and actually listen to it 😛

But I'll tell you what I have set aside an hour to do though. Sitting down and watching MilkDrop in winamp. It's pretty trippy.

I should get winamp just for this. I am ashamed to admit that I use iTunes.

iTunes doesn't have visualizations?

Nope, 8708 songs 58:07:55:36 total play time 33,37GB. I try to but every so often I accidently lose the random play list.

I have listened to every song in my mp3 collection , not all at once though but during the span of 5 years, but I probably have listened every song at least once if not twice. This is for 37gb of music.

Regards

ng

Exactly. I don't have months to dedicate to listening to MP3s. I have heard every song in my collection, however; usually after DL'ing ... er, *purchasing* online.

Every now and then, I used to decide to listen to every one of my 600+ cd collection while at work. It would take months to complete, but I've done that twice so far. Since my MP3 collection ~= cd collection, I figured it's close enough to your question.

Yes. Why would one download music they never listen to?

imagine i drop 50 abums on your desk. some you've never heard of, others you have and are slightly interested in etc. would you seriously listen to them straight through? or would you simply never get around to evaluating some.... going through albums of stuff can be less than enjoyable at times. as it sometimes takes rumaging through many albums to discover something actually worth listening to. on the other hand if you had never looked u would have never known of X artist or whatever you find. but still its how many probably do it, the drift net approach to discovering music. lots and lots of bycatch.
